A founder's honest comparison. If Zomato is the right answer for your restaurant, you will see it on this page.

The 30-second take

Zomato, in one paragraph. Orderzy, in another.

Zomato's engine is delivery. Zomato Dineout exists and works fine, but it is a discovery and reservation layer running alongside a delivery business.

Orderzy's whole product is dine-in. Not a feature on the side. The whole thing.

If most of your orders are delivery, you should be on Zomato. Pay the commission, keep the volume. If most of your meals happen at your tables, Orderzy is built for that, and you keep the order amount.

Three concrete differences

If you remember three things from this page.

01

You keep the order amount on Orderzy. On Zomato you give up a commission.

Aggregator commissions in India typically run between 18 and 25 percent per order. On a ₹1,000 order placed through Zomato, the restaurant nets roughly ₹750 to ₹820 before its own food and staff costs. Over a year that adds up to real money.

On Orderzy the diner's order amount flows directly to the restaurant through Cashfree. The platform fee is paid by the diner separately at checkout, and it is small. We make our money from that diner fee, not from a cut of your revenue. Your margin stays your margin.

02

Your brand stays your brand.

On Zomato the restaurant is one tile in a list of dozens. The visual experience belongs to Zomato. The diner is comparing you against the place next door before they even open your menu.

With Orderzy the diner is physically in your restaurant. The brand experience is the menu you designed, the table you set, the QR card you printed. We do not bury your brand under our logo, and we do not rank you against the restaurant down the lane.

03

No public rating, no discount treadmill.

On Zomato the restaurant has to keep offering discounts to rank well, and is at the mercy of a public rating that can sink overnight from a single bad week. That is the system working as designed for an aggregator. It is not always the system you want.

Orderzy does not have a public rating system that pits restaurants against each other. The diner has already chosen the restaurant. They are at the table. There is no attention auction to win, no rank to defend, no permanent discount cycle to maintain.

Where Orderzy is the right choice

Sit-down dine-in restaurants. The whole product is built for you.

  • Your restaurant is sit-down dine-in. The meal happens at a table.
  • You want to stop giving up 18 to 25 percent of every order.
  • You want the diner's experience to feel like your restaurant, not a tile in someone else's app.
  • You are tired of running discounts just to stay ranked.
  • You want a tool that costs the restaurant nothing.
